PEANUT BUTTER!!! - July 29, 2013

HELLOOOOOO!!
Yeah, thats right, we have hit the town with all of the Americans!! haha, ok not really. Our branch has like 4 american families and they are great. Other than that, it's a normal Spain town. WE GOT THREE CANS OF PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ate one can to myself in like three days, no joke. I just downed it. Not good. The Americans treat us super well and are always like, "ok, tell me anything you want and we'll get it for you." I am officially in heaven.
Puerto is super great. We have our little spanish branch of like 4 families as well.....I kinda want to die. I am used to having a 170 member ward and now I come to a 30 member branch....ummmm how on earth am I supposed to get references from these people?? It'll be quite the challenge but I am so stoked to be here.

This place is the tiniest place in the world. Hna Hendricks n I were walking a lot one day and she was like, "I am so sorry that we have been walking so much today!" I was like, "you have got to be kidding me, Hna grant n I in Almeria walked 20 times as much Uand P-HILL and drenched in sweat from the humidity." It is like vacation here. The weather is perfect and the people are SO NICE! If you say, "hola" to them they immediately greet you back with a smile. It was a miracle in Almeria if someone even acknowledged our existence. So, things are looking great so far :)
We have a few investigators that are about to drop us I think....sad day. They are so awesome! We have a cute young couple that arent married and are about to have a baby and they are so freaking adorable. I think they are sick of us telling them that they need to get married and now they wont answer the door....suck. BUT, the girl like knows the BOM is true...soooo hopefully they'll come around. The other one is Ariel (A boy) and he is like 18 and super adorable. We think he's gay though.....awkward haha he has been avoiding us too though. So lame.

We have Fútobal viernes but WE CANT PLAY! . But that's ok cuz these kids kick trash. They are incredible. I have seen lots of teens play, but man, they mean business. They come and play at the capilla every friday and like 50 teens show up and then like 15 stay for the message. They are actually really good kids and we are slowly getting some interest from them and hopefully will just baptize all of these chicos!!!!! YEAH!
k, love this place. I am super happy right now. I really hope that hna hendricks and I just get this place boomin!!
LOVE YOU GUYS! dont want to like scary anyone....but I am about to enter the 6month zone....yeah...I have like no time left. annnnnyways, super scary! have a great week!! SAY HI TO BABY WILL FOR ME!!!

Finally!!....a new area:) - July 22, 2013

Life just got SO GOOD! I am finally finally serving in another area. My second area...how sad is that. I have 8 months left and I have only served in one area....well and I guess two other areas in AZ...but that doesn´t count ;)

My next area is Puerto de Santa Maria. It's a pueblo of Cádiz! So I am on the coast but I don´t think my area includes the coast. That is mostly just Cádiz that is actually on the coast. I am going to the West side of spain!! My first reaction when President called and told me that, I was like, "what? where on earth is that?" haha, he then talked to me for like 10 minutes about my new area. It was awesome to talk to him for a bit.

What I have heard is that Puerto is the area with LOTS of Americans and British people. So the down side is that I will be speaking half english and half spanish. There is an english branch and a spanish branch over there. I thought I would actually learn spanish here in Spain...but I was wrong haha. Turns out I'll learn like 10% of the language ;) Nah, but I am really excited to see how that will be teaching in english and teaching people from my own country and from England! Crazy.

My new companion will be Hermana Hendricks. I have never met her in my life. She just has one transfer here and was just companions with an hermana that goes home this transfer. So, that's cool that she was trained by a super super awesome hermana! I'm nervous to have to step in and fill her shoes. I hope I do it justice! All President said about Hna Hendricks was, "she is a ball of energy." haha soooo we'll see what exactly that means! I'm excited :) I also hear that this area is reeeeaaally small, like half of Almería and Almería is just a small city. There are only two other Elders over there which means I AM SUPER MAD! BECAUSE we cant have Pdays together!!! With this lame new rule, we can't ever be together as a four-some. SO. LAME. I hate small districts...buuut I guess I'll have to deal with not being able to have some fun social time. I think the Lord knows that it's too much of a distraction for me haha.

That's all for this week! Nothing new in Almería...as always. Our district is having an epic BBQ goodbye party for our DL, Elder Valenzuela. I cannot believe he's leaving for home! weird. Fun pics are on the way from this week and saying goodbye to a few of my fav memebers :)

Have a great week!!! Love you guys.

July 15, 2013 - My 3 favorite missionaries leaving today.....

yummy churros!

Last week in Almeria! - July 15, 2013

Holita!!!

I hope it is safe so say that this is my last week in Almería. If it isnt....well this would be very embarrassing because I am super stoked to get out of here! lol, we will find out this friday about transfer news!!

Almería is super great. Let me just say that this place rocks every missionary's world and attacks your weaknesses so good. SO, I am happy to say that I survived and that I am a million times stronger than I was 6 months ago :)

This week was interesting, as always. I had the chance to work in Jaén. The place of HILLS. HUGE hills. Dang, that place is gorgeous but it is built on a giant hill and you walk up the hill and down the hill and up the hill and down 80 times a day. I just about died. Look up pictures. It's crazy lol. It was fun to be there with another hermana while my hija, hna grant, was in Málaga doing residency fun stuff.

We then had an epic zone meeting in Granada. LAST zone meeting with the greatest missionaries ever...pics are comin. I am so sad to see them go!! But, it was a great meeting and then we all pigged out and ate some delish pizza.

So, as you can see, we worked like 3 days in Almería and they were suuuuper rough. But, we learned lots and are fiiiiiinally ready for some miracles this last week.....we hope....and pray.

Yeahhhhhh, the mission is GREAT! Just lovin getting beat down everyday and then saying, "I honestly gave it my all." Even when we had absolutely nothing to show for it. We work our butts off every day. At least we know one person who really cares and knows that we worked hard and that is all that matters :)

I love you guys. I can't wait to hear the next upcoming news with Sean and Laura and lil Will!!!!!! Have a great week in the sun! Hna Daly loves you all like CRAZY!!!

4th of July pics

4th of July!

One HOT day!

Maurico (our fav investigator with his family:)

Yes!!  We get to have snickers & coke in the mission:)

Happy 4th of July!! - July 8, 2013

Happy 4th of July!!

Yay for America!!! Funny thing, Hna Grant and I totally heard our national anthem on the bus in almeria!!! CRAZY, right?! We were about to cry when we heard it...but then started singing with it and laughing. All of the spaniards around us just laughed and enjoyed watching us rocking out to the national anthem :)

We had such a fun 4th of july!! ok...not as fun as you all on the lake with the fireworks, BUT, pretty close. We bought some soda and snickers to celebrate. It was a pretty wild party. I also took a funny video which you cant see for another 8 months ;) It was a fun day!

This week was another trying week for us. We are just loving walking around in the dead wet heat dying of dehydration. Miracle: We found this place in the middle of no where that sold slushies!!!!!! Are you kidding me?! Greatest day of my life. I knew the Lord was watching out for us that day cuz we were losing it pretty bad. We kept talking about slushies for hours and then out of no where....slushies for 1 euro. Yes.

We saw some pretty cool little miracles this week! We have found 5 romanians this week! They were all door contacts and they are not related to each other lol. Romanians are such incredible people! The down side is is that we are only teaching 2 out of those 5 romanians at the moment. But still! It was so awesome. All of them accpted us so fast and just loved hearing about our message of Christ. It was a great experience teaching each and every one of them. I want more Romanians!

Sad story: our AC doesnt work in our new piso....we have been sleeping in 90deg weather in our piso. no joke. It says 90deg! WHAT! We are a little sleep deprived.

Awesome story: I am most likely FINALLY getting transfered in 2 wks!!! Woot woot! We'll find out in about 13days if Im actually going to leave this place. lol

I love Almería even though I have been here for 6months. It has really built me in so many ways. It has made so many of my weaknesses a lot stronger and it is just the beginning! I'm excited to see what is in store for me next!

I currently in Granada and will be in Jaén for a day doing exchanges while Hna grant goes to malaga to get residency stuff done. lucky. malaga is like vacation. But, it's good to get out of almeria for a bit :)

LOVE YOU GUYS! Loved the super cute 4th of july pics!!!!!!! Have a great week!

Crazzzzy Week - July 1, 2013

Hey everyone!!
So, this week was a crazy one for sure...not crazy good though. We just had so many errands and things to do and did not get much missionary work done. I'm still recovering from losing tons of weight and being sick, but I'm slowly eating more crap Spain food. We still aren't sure what caused the sickness but I think it just came from stress and my body freaked out. Not sure...
We had an EPIC tri zone meeting in Malaga with 1/3 of the mission and it was the GREATEST CONFERENCE of my life :) I needed that conference so bad. We heard the greatest testimonies ever from the best 4 missionaries of the mission that are leaving us this transfer. Sadest thing of my LIFE! BUT, funny story. Man, I am like the dumbest person ever.....ok, so one of the missionaries is Elder Jackson. And he's like 6'4 and blonde and looks like Jackson Emery from byu bball!! So I was like, woah, I really need to ask him if he's related to him. So at the end of the conference little inteligent me calls for him from across the room in front of eeeeeveryone and yells, "HEY, Elder Jackson!! Are you related to Emery Jackson?!!" Everyone just kinda stares at me all confused and Elder Jackson was like, "ummmm....what?" then I replied back in a little snooty tone of voice and was all, "Oh my gosh, you dont know who Emery Jackson is??" As soon as the words left my mouth I realized of what an idiot I was and then ALL of the american elders replied back in unison, "hahaha you mean, Jackson EMERY?" Daaaaaaang it. I just was like, I look like suuuuuch a fool right now. So, in case you see this Elder at BYU, just know that he definitely is NOT related to Jackson Emery lol.
After our amazing conference, we finally got all moved into our nice little fancy piso :) We are super happy!! It was the week of heck moving all of our junk over but, alas, we are alive and now living out of boxes and suit cases because we are too exhausted to move anything else.
Nothing much else to report about missionary work :( We did find a new investigator, ELENA!!! hehe, she is from Romania and super chill and like 12 yrs old lol. She's got an attitude but she's awesome. We're gonna try and teach the rest of her fam. So we'll see where that takes us!
HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!! Spain does not celebrate any independence stuff....as far as I'm concernced. But, our distrcit may still have a mini bbq that day after our district meeting :D Have fun boating at the cabin!!! I want to surf SO BAD RIGHT NOW! keep it saved for me next year. love you guys!!!
