What up!! It is just raining non stop and super windy here in Almería!! Loving it...noooot :) It makes contacting people very difficult because lets face it, who wants to be stopped by 3 drop dead gorgeous missionaires in the rain...definitely not these people. They also think we are Jehova's witnesses and then they REALLY don't want to talk to us. Those JW's ruin everything! I'm sure they are super awesome people, but they make people run away from us. It's so sad :(
Well this Saturday the 9th we have TWO BAPTISMS!!! Madeleeg and Jose!!! Our adorable little 16yr old, Jose!! LOVE THIS KID! Freaking stud muffin. We were teaching him last week and invited him to be baptized and without hesitation he's all "Yes!!" and was smiling and being all cute and freaking studly like. Ah, he was super funny at the end of the lesson. We were finishing up and then we realized that we might've had to change his baptism date because he needed to go to church at least one more time. So we were like, "actually, Jose, we might have to change it to a later date because you need to come to church at least twice before being baptized..." He's all, "What? No! I went another time, it was like stake conference or something. I've gone twice, I swear!!" hahaha, he was so cute! He literally sounded like the world was going to end. Love him! It turned out that we didnt have to change his date, thank goodness!
Our wicked awesome Ecuadorian family that we've been teaching have been super good! But sad news!! Their son, Jordano 19 yrs old, he has been in the hospital all week for something that I still I dont understand...spanish medical terms are like chinese lol...so he's been in bad shape. We have visited him and his family at the hospital like 4 times and the Elders in our area gave him a blessing n everything. OOO FUNNY FUNNY STORY!! hehehe, so his mom, Carmen, is still super strict with her Catholic ways. So right before the Elders were about to give him the blessing she's all, "Wait, you arent going to baptize him are you??" her face was in straight up HORROR. hahaha we were all dying laughing. It was super funny yet super sad because she is deathly afraid we are going to force her to be baptize without her knowing it. Sigh. We're trying to gain her trust but she is really strong headed. We hope to get the rest of their fam with some baptism fechas!! Yeahhhh FECHAS! Hopefully will get them in white soon!!!!
We have a new investigator, Celia, and she is such a lost soul. Her story is so long....but her mom is super sick and our Elders gave the mom a blessing too...love our elders!! Aaand we kinda have a baptism date already set for Celia but it's super official. She is super cool but kinda has depression and anxiety issues. Hopefully she'll turn around soon and feel the awesome spirit of the Gospel!!
That about wraps up our week. Lots of visits to the hopsital. OH MY GOSH! I do not understand how Spain medical stuff works. It seems super frustrating and impossible to see a good doctor. We have been to like 3 doctors for Hermana Martín's ears and they just send us to another doctor and we wait another 8 hrs to see a doctor for 2 mins. Ridiculous. I hope I never have to see a doctor here in Spain haha.
Lessons learned this week: Singing hymns cures all!! Especially in spanish! Whenever our little trio is down or whatever, we just start singing random hymns or I just start singing one in my head and then all of sudden everything is so much better! I love this Gospel so much and I love how much I learn every day from the scriptures. Freak. Ammon is still my favorite person in the world in the book of mormon. STUD! All of Alma just rocks. YEAH! SCRIPTURES! Read em. Live em. Love em. Yes.
Love ya family!!!! I love all of the excitement that is happening in the family!! Especially with Vanessa's new baby boy!! Corbin!! SO CUTE! Love that name. I WANT PICS! I love you guys!!!!!!!!!!! Our family freaking rocks. Hombre, we are so cool ;) have a great week!!
LOVE;
Hermanita Daly
