Hola!!! I am officially a mom...in the mission field ;) How scary is that?! It's been quite the eye opening experience being a trainer. It definitely is a kick in the butt. I love my hija!!! Hermana Grant from Ceder City, UT. She is awesome!!! She is 19 years old tooooo! Although, she seems older than me. I'm just too immature and crazy I guess and always will be haha. She is super tall! Love it. We get along great and she brings lots of energy to our companionship.
I have already realized that I am super good at defending myself in Spanish. It's been really scary to be the only one of the companionship that knows enough spanish to communicate with people. I am surprised that I actually know a lot more that I thought. I still speak in broken spanish but at least I can teach all of the lessons and that's all that matters right now haha.
This week was really hard for me and my poor hija because we have like zero people to teach. I keep telling Hna Grant that this will probably be her hardest transfer and that I hope she's ready to learn lots and have lots of faith!! haha poor girl, oh man. At least I had people to teach when I was being trained. I am just trying really hard to let her know that it'll get better and we'll just have to find lots of ways to keep making ourselves laugh during the long hot days of walking in the streets.
However, we did have an epic lesson with our dearest Mauricio. Loooove that kid! He is super intelligent and has the coolest questions. We are having difficulties getting him to finally agree to a baptismal date but, he is progressing so much! Every lesson just gets more and more spiritual and awesome. I will just die if he doesn't get baptized while I'm here in Almería. Ugh, I will die. It's sad to think about if he doesnt get baptized. But, I guess everyone has their agency....
Our convert, Celia, is still my favorite person in the world. We are going to skype at her house for Mother's day next week!!! SO EXCITED!!! You'll get to meet my celia! Super cool. Yesterday was actually Mother's day here in Spain...weird. I think they are the only country that has a different Mother's day...what is up with that? It was cute though. All of the mom's got flowers yesterday at church :) I may have gotten a little emotional because I miss my mom so much! ;)
Well, not too much has gone on this week. Just lots of traveling and getting used to be a trainer and being responsible for the salvation fo souls. Totally normal.
See you next week, family!!! LOVE YOU!!! Miss you guys so much. Just 9 more months....but I'm not counting I swear ;)
Love,
Hermana Daly
